WE WANT EVERYONE TO BE SAFE IN OUR CHURCH

Formal Safeguarding Statement

The Parish of Saint Michael and All Angels, Stonebridge is committed to implementing the House of Bishops’ safeguarding policies and good practice guidance.

A formal statement to adopt the House of Bishops’ “Promoting a Safer Church; safeguarding policy statement” was adopted in 2019 and is reviewed at the APCM each year. A safeguarding report is given at every PCC meeting held, and policies and procedures are undergoing review.

SAFEGUARDING

Our safeguarding policies are regularly reviewed in conjunction with Diocese of London and Church of England guidance, and are re-adopted annually, at a meeting of our Parochial Church Council.

We are committed to keeping all God’s people safe, and take seriously the wellbeing of every person in our church community and value all equally. Your safety and security in all respects are most important to us.

We have a Safeguarding Officer, Agatha Hallal, whom you may contact in church or on 020 8838 6144. You may also contact the Vicar, Revd Sarah, at vicarstonebridge@gmail.com or 07704 694445. The Diocesan Safeguarding Team phone helpline is 020 7932 1224 and email and other details are on https://www.london.anglican.org/directory/safeguarding-team

We have systems in place to respond to concerns of abuse whether physical, sexual, financial, emotional or of any other kind.

Our policy may be read as a Word or PDF document.
